  2. In order to make the surface have corrosion resistance, the base metal of carbon steel or alloy steel is overlaid with a certain thickness of filler metal, which is called cladding welding.
  3. When welding dissimilar materials, or there are special requirements, in order to ensure the quality and performance of the joint, the base metal should be isolated in advance, which is called isolation layer surfacing.
  4. The metal added on the surface of the weldment, the edge of the joint or in order to restore the required size of the component is called thickening surfacing.
